About Me

Welcome to Bricks by Dawn, where I have combined my two passions, jewelry design and LEGO.

I have had a love of jewelry design my whole life. I started in grade school with pony beads and hemp jewelry and then as an adult, learned to use wire and beads to make professional, unique and custom jewelry. 

Life got chaotic since I am a military wife and a stay-at-home mom of six kids. Amidst the chaos, I fell in love with LEGO all over again. Building sets and putting them together brought me a sense of peace and fulfillment that I was lacking in my everyday life. It was so satisfying to have something complete and final at the end of the day. 

Then I was asked if I could make a rosary out of LEGO for two of my local, LEGO loving priests. I told them 'Sure! I'll see what I can do.' So, I started drilling and creating and soon enough, something pretty great came together.  Then I had an epiphany of so many things in my life, leading me to this very moment, and the ideas just flowed. I felt so strongly that this is exactly what I'm supposed to be doing. So, I haven't stopped since. The different techniques and designs and ideas just keep flowing. The doors keep opening and I keep stepping through them.  I have tried to come up with something unique and fun yet wearable for all lovers of LEGO.
